Niav

Niav means radiance, lustre, and brightness, and she certainly has all of that! Niav’s coloring was a bit of a surprise, as both her sire and dam were from the recessive color pool. She was born a light red with a red belly, which has faded such that she looks like she is a uniform light red.  Due to her coloring, I am excited to see if she produces color with both dominant and recessive bucks.

Niav’s sire is Caruso. Caruso is an amazing buck, winning most of the shows he has been shown in, and for good reason. Even at 5 years old, his fleece remains of kid quality, 25 um in diameter. He has excellent coverage, and good color. Though she is still young, Niav is also fine, with wonderful tight curl as well great coverage. In addition, she has wispy curls on her ears, which I find enchanting.
