If Elsa was a surprise, Jaidra was a shock. Jaidra was dam raised by her rather unfriendly mom, and when it came time to train her to milk, I nearly gave up on her. (I would spend 20 minutes following her around the field to get her to bring her to the milk stand.) Fortunately, I didn’t relent as I found she made the Elite list for her first lactation! She hasn’t disappointed with her 2020 lactation, making the Elite list again. We are looking forward to Linear Appraisal next year (hopefully!) as we expect her scores to go up.
