In a herd where it is hard to have favorites, Fran is definitely near the top for me. She offers the complete package— conformation, milk production, and personality. (Her milk production is down this year due to a hard kidding.) Fran’s dam, Elke, made the Breed Leader list in 2018. She also produces amazing kids, which is why I have retained a doeling every year and even have a son as a junior herdsire. She passes her sweet and easy-going personality down to her kids— even the dam raised kids seek out attention. We are expecting great things from her sons and daughters, as well as her grandchildren.
