Aednat

Aednat is a Celtic name meaning “little fire”. Unfortunately, Aednat’s dam died while Aednat was a kid, so she became my bottle baby. Her personality is super sweet, which is perfect because I love the handle of her fleece— this way I get to snuggle it each time I feed. She was a fiery red as a kid, and thus her name. She also won’t let the other goats push her around.

Aednat has wonderful coverage— and I love her tail. While she has faded from her kid fleece, she is still obviously red and I hope she follows her granddam and gets darker as she ages. Aednat’s yearling fleece won second place at the 2019 Fiber Fusion show.

Aednat had twins as a first freshener and cared for them without assistance. They were a deep brown and a red and had her amazing fleece. She looks to be due to have two more this year and I anticipate the same great fiber.
